Encounters Smash Battles 4-Player FFA

Encounters Smash Battles 4-Player FFA guide. Free-for-all strategy, trophy rewards, and survival tips for the hardest game mode.

4-Player FFA is the most popular and most rewarding mode in Encounters Smash Battles. Four fighters battle simultaneously with no teams — last player standing wins. Trophy and Gem payouts exceed 1v1 and 2v2, but you face three opponents at once.

Originally called "Competition," this mode renamed to 4-Player FFA in a past update. The core rules remain: four lives, ten-minute timer, and placement-based rewards.

FFA Survival Strategy

Early game: Avoid the center brawl. Edge-guard players knocked off-stage for easy eliminations without building your own damage %.

Mid game: Target the highest-damage player — they are easiest to launch. Use Guard when two others are fighting nearby.

Late game: Play conservatively with one life left. Let remaining opponents damage each other before engaging.

Champions with strong recovery like Ryan and Fiona survive FFA chaos better than slow bruisers like Noob.

Best FFA Champions

S Tier: Hamza — simple combos, high knockback. Kusanagi — parry punishes reckless attackers.

A Tier: Fiona — teleport escapes, Mai — zoning keeps distance from brawls.
