2v2 Matches pair you with a random teammate or a friend via the party system. Two teams of two fight on the same arena with standard four-life rules. This mode has the highest player count after FFA and is considered the most beginner-friendly ranked option.
Use the party function before queuing to guarantee your friend joins your team. Random teammates vary in skill, so adaptable champions outperform niche picks.
Team Strategy
Role split: One aggressive damage dealer (Hamza, Construct) plus one spacing or support fighter (Mai, Aloysius).
Edge guarding: When your teammate knocks an opponent off-stage, cover the ledge to prevent recovery.
Focus fire: Both teammates attack the same target to eliminate one opponent quickly, creating a 2v1 advantage.
Arash works uniquely in 2v2 — his bombs cannot hit teammates, enabling safe area denial behind your partner.
